|Ar tonelico II: Melody of Metafalica Boss|
The Divine Messenger, which is said to respond directly to the Goddess' orders, this wolf-like monster constantly attacks Cloche, and by extension, Croix and his friends several times during their adventures.
First to Third Battles
The first two battles against Shun will also be the first true boss battles in the game, and while he should prove more dangerous than any of the enemies faced until fighting him, he is also basic enough for the player to grasp how to correctly fight enemies in the game. His most dangerous attack is Rolling Wolves due to the fact of being a fast multi-hitter, so the player should be careful against it and block it as precisely as possible.
The rest of the battles against him are pretty much the same because Shun gains no new moves between them and instead, he only gets stat increases. The only other difference are the enemies accompanying him: in the first battle he is alone, in the second he is accompanied by two Origin Guards, and in the third, he is supported by two Divine Army units. Additionally, the third battle against him is exclusive to Cloche's Route due to the place where it happens.
For the first battle, a Fire Blaster with a Burst of around 5000% should suffice to defeat him, while for the second, a more advanced Song Magic would be advised, such as a Rolling Riceball with a Burst of around 4000%. Finally, for the the third battle, it's advised to use a Eggy G charged up to a 14085% Burst.
However, things change for the fourth and final battle against him, which also serves as the final official boss battle of Phase 1. While he still has two Divine Army units supporting him, like on the third battle, Shun himself got a large boost in stats in comparison to the previous fight against him (and a massive one for Luca Route players), and all of his moves have been replaced with improved versions. Einsabre becomes Head Slash, which hits a party member four times, Thunder Cry evolves into Plasma Arrow, which now hits five times, and Rolling Wolves, which was dangerous already to begin with, is replaced by Cobalt Cyclone, raising its number of hits to a staggering 8. Therefore, the player shouldn't drop their guard on the battle at all, unlike they want to be pulverized by Shun and his bodyguards. Likewise, if they still haven't perfected guarding, they should settle down for Goods instead of Perfects to at least prevent the damage to the Reyvateils and minimize the damage the vanguards receive.
The best solution is to use the best Song Magic spells the player should have at this point, such as Eggy G or Lady Momoyo, both charged beyond a 10000%, in order to wipe out Shun and his supports. However, it isn't advised at all to use Replekia despite having gotten it in the previous event battle against ???, given that METHOD_REPLEKIA/. will override the song that plays during this battle, which is EXEC_METAFALICA/. Additionally, the number of IPDs supporting Cloche at this point will be of just one, which renders using Replekia during this battle meaningless.
