Hymmnos (Hymns)

The Hymmnos Songs (simply known as Hymns), are the songs better known as Hymmnos Extract type songs, and are used for controlling the tower. Each Hymmnos has its own purpose and use within the game's storyline.

Crafted around 500 years prior to the start of the game, with the purpose of disconnecting a chosen program being executed inside the Tower's Binary Field by cutting its Symphonic Power supply, thus interrupting its execution. The program in question can be any function used in the Tower or any Song that a Reyvateil sings, provided that it's executed inside the Ar Tonelico or Sol Marta servers. It is useless against the songs of the IPD Reyvateils due to the incompatibility of data between both servers.
Note: Since both versions are only different in the singers, and there isn't a Fusion being executed, both Purger Hymmnos have the same effects.

One of the very first Hymmnos crafted, approximately at the same time as the completion of the Ar Tonelico tower. It is to be used during the change of guard of Administrators to appoint the new one, as it links the singer directly with the Tower. However, the Reyvateil that is appointed has to give her life in exchange for the guard change to be completed. If this Hymmnos is used outside of its initial purpose, it only traps the mind of the singer in the Binary Field, allowing anything in there to use her body as a vessel.
Effect Key: Connection.
Effect: Unification.
[edit] Chronicle Key = EXEC_CHRONICLE_KEY/.
The most recent Hymmnos created before the game's storyline with the aim of keeping Mir sealed inside the Crescent Chronicle, as it acts as the "Key" that keeps its sealing functions active. Only a Lune lineage Reyvateil can sing it, as it was designed in a way that only Lune's direct clones (Lune lineage Reyvateils, including Misha) would be able to employ it. This Hymmnos also shortens the life span of the singer to 30 years max, and to be effective, it has to be sung without pause.
Effect Key: Seal.
Effect: Lullaby.

This, together with Linker and Re=Nation, was one of the 3 Hymmnos crafted during the time when the first tower was being built. Its function is shutting down the Tower, thus rendering all Song Magic useless and taking the Administrator with it. However, even if the Tower is shut down, all its vital facilities such as the Musical Corridor and the Plasma Bell remain active, as they were created after the Tower's completion. The Administrator then enters a suspended animation sleep until the Tower is restarted.

Another one of the three Hymmnos crafted during the building of the first tower. Its function is the restarting of the Tower and all its functions, including waking the Administrator from her suspended animation state.
Effect Key: Revival.
Effect: Restart.
[edit] Harmonious = EXEC_HARMONIUS/. (EXEC_HARMONIOUS/.)
This was Mir's very first song, but she never got to sing it because it was discarded together with the other songs that weren't of practical use to her creators. Because of that, when Mir recovered it, she chose to never sing it and sealed it in the Silver Horn.
Its effect is fusing the feelings in a mental level, meaning that people who hear it accept the feelings of the singer much more easily, and in addition, it calms the hearts of the listeners.
Effect Key: Heal.
Effect: Tranquilize the Hearts.

This Hymmnos was crafted by Mir immediately after her defeat at the hands of Lyner's group. This song shows a very warm aura, and it's very tranquilizing, but its effects are unknown. It's Effect Key and Effects are also unknown because of that.
[edit] Phantasmagoria = EXEC_PHANTASMAGORIA/.
This is the last Hymmnos crafted during Ar Tonelico 1, containing the feelings and wishes of everyone in Sol Ciel. Its effects are only a prayer for everlasting peace in Sol Ciel. Aurica ,Misha & Shurelia sing it together. Also, it acts as an amplifier for the effects of Song Magic, as it was shown in Ar Tonelico 2.
Effect Key: Revival.
Effect: Peace.

It is unknown when this Hymmnos was crafted, but it was known to the Tsukikanade as "the song that should never be sung" because of its effects. It causes the total reformat of Ar Tonelico, both in the Binary Field and reality, using the negative feelings of the singer as a catalyst, thus meaning the total destruction of Sol Ciel. It was sung during Claire's Hymmnos Musical.

[edit] Sol=Fege = EXEC_SOL=FAGE/.
This Hymmnos was crafted by Luca during a visit to the ruins of the Enna Royal Palace. Its effect is the Heaven's Descent, the ceremony used as an activation key for the D-Cellophane grathnode crystal, allowing the Reyvateil that has it installed to copy the abilities and knowledge from the Origin Reyvateil that is linked to it (Frelia). This Hymmnos is the proof of the Maiden of Homura(JP)/Fuero(US).
[edit] Replekia = METHOD_REPLEKIA/.
Though its unknown the date of its crafting, it can be traced to around 400 years ago, when Infel Phira was finished. Its effects are the unification of the hearts of all the IPD Reyvateils, using all of them as an amplifier for the casting of a Song Magic, improving greatly its power. This Hymn can be used only by the Maiden of Mio(JP)/Aqua(US).

This Hymmnos was crafted 400 years ago as one of the final steps for the Metafalica Project. Its effects are the creation of anything, and it was designed specifically for the creation of a new continent, however, if only the Exec part is sung, then the continent created will be only ephemeral , and turns the soul of one of the singers into the Heart of the Land that gives life to that ephemeral continent. Its imposible for a normal Reyvateil to sing it, it can only be sung by the Maiden of Homura thanks to her link to Frelia via the D-Cellophane. The Goddess forbid it because the use of this song consumes too much of her power, and it could lead to the total collapse of the Second Tower and the Rim.

It's unknown when it was crafted, but its effects are the fusing of feelings in a physical level. Jakuri used it to understand the Heart of the Land of Luca/Cloche.
[edit] Hibernation = EXEC_HAIBANATION/.
It's used to reformat and shut down the Infel Phira song server, taking out also all the IPD Reyvateils that are connected to it. Also, it "sublimates" everything material in Metafalss and sends it into Infel Phira as data and souls. It was the last Hymmnos crafted before the game's storyline, and the final step for the Ascension Plan. This hymn can't execute its effect by itself (given that it executes its effect in Infel Phira, not in Ar tonelico), and because of that, it links to Ar tonelico to Infel Phira via the Lakra system.

It was crafted during the last year and a half, and even though it's a Hymmnos Fusion, it looks like its effects didn't change from the one that the normal Harmonious has.
[edit] Implanta = METHOD_IMPLANTA/.
The time of its crafting about 400 years ago and hided in Kanakana Pier, and its used to restore a backup of the data that was stored inside Infel Phira's Binary Field. This also restores the conciousness to all the IPDs that fell to Hibernation.
[edit] METHOD_METAFALICA/.
It only prepares Infel Phira for the singing of the Metafalica Hymmnos, since the dual server songs need its EXEC parts to be executed succesfully. The Hymn Crystal containing this song was designed to be obtained only after clearing the Infelsphere completely, so both Maidens could be close enough to sing both this and the EXEC part together.
[edit] Despedia = EXEC_DESPEDIA/.
This song was crafted by Jacqli during the course of the game, and its one of the various Hymn Crystals that are used to control some of the robots of the Divine Army. However, its unknown when the Hymn Crystal was actually created.
[edit] Veena = EXEC_VIENA/.
Its used to open a way to Sol Marta called the Tower of Heavens, though since it requires a lot of energy, it needed to drop around the half of the Rim for its execution. Its date of crafting it's unknown, but it probably was crafted shortly after Sol Marta was finished and sent to the upper zones of the atmosphere, together with Frelia.

Its effects are the same as Hibernation, though it requires two singers to work, and also, its applied to the entire planet of Ar Ciel. This song is divided in four parts. It also covers the world in darkness and forces the souls of the people out from their bodies, and after that, it "sublimates" everything in Ar Ciel.
[edit] Metafalica = EXEC_with.METHOD_METAFALICA/.
Its used for the creation of the Metafalica Sphere or Metafalica Continent, and also, defragments Infel Phira's Binary Field, correcting all the anomalies it has and erasing the IPD virus. For a successful execution, the Maiden of Mio has to open her heart to the IPDs and the people, to send their emotions as power to the Maiden of Homura, which will allow the creation of the new continent.
