Perjury (偽世界, itsuwari sekai?, lit. "False World/Perjury") is the first trial area in Gaea, and similarly to the Entrance Forest, it's a forest devoid of life. However, this place is inhabited by large swarms of monsters. The trial here is reaching the altar in the center of the forest and defeating the monster there. Its comment line is: "This is an image of forests, true or false?"
History[]
This area was first revealed after the first conversation Luca and Cloche had in the Infelsphere.
Luca's Route[]
Once the party arrived to this place, they encountered Luca. Croix was glad to see her while Cloche told her they could go home now. However, Luca mocked her and told her that this version of her, this "Luca", was just an illusion made up by Gaea. When Croix asked where they could find the real her, Luca told him that humans were quite stupid by dividing things in true and false, and that her, the real Luca and Gaea itself were all parts of the same being, while also telling them to give up. However, Croix and Cloche appealed to her, telling Luca that everyone awaited her return, and thus she challenged them to try to find something as they explored Gaea.
She also added that she wouldn't let them roam freely through the land, remarking that all her emotions were her to protect her, even to the core of her own existence, and challenged them to clear the trials she would impose on them. Croix accepted, but Luca added that this place also a trial: defeating the monster in the deepmost area of the forest, and that he should be able to do it if he actually cared for her. Croix then accepted her challenge.
After finding and defeating the monster, Soope manifested a strange key out of nowhere. Amarie and Cocona commented on how pretty it was, but the others were at a loss for what use that key had. They then went back to the Gaea Village.
Cloche's Route[]

Layout[]
As mentioned above, the goal in this area is relatively simple: just getting to the deepest part of the forest and defeat the boss monster in it. However, this place also has the unusual distinction of doing away with the random encounters and instead using visible enemies on the map: this means that if the player makes contact with any of the many monster sprites, they will be forced into a battle, so they should be careful. However, it should be possible for them to sneak by without any battles if they are good at evading the enemies.
