Amnesty

Amnesty (審判と特赦, shimpan to tokusha^?, lit. "Judgment and Amnesty/Judge and Amnesty") is one of the trial areas in Gaea, and it consists of a large building that has enormous blades and knifes sticking on the ground all over it, as well as a sort of stage in the back room. Its comment line is: "Whose crime is it, enforcer or enforced."

History

Luca's Route

When they reached Luca in the back room, she welcomed them, saying that they were about to see a Shuffle Show. Croix noticed at once that there were four Cloches in the place, while Cocona was all excited about what kind of show it would be. Luca laughed and announced that the audience could join in this time, and that if they chose correctly, they would get a nice prize, which Cocona correctly guessed to be the Sphere Key for this trial. However, then Luca added that if they were wrong, they might be unable to save the lives of these girls: the other three Lucas were actually entirely different people, girls that didn't agree with her way of doing things, and thus she brought them to Gaea to be punished, although she would think about sparing their lives if Croix and the others were right. This made Cloche indignant and she ordered Luca to release the order girls, but Luca only laughed and told her that if she chose correctly, it would be no problem. After paying the entrance fee, the girls then began shuffling positions quickly, and then Luca told the party to choose the one that was called "Annie".

Fortunately, the party guessed correctly, much to the relief of the hostages, so Cloche ordered again Luca to release the girls, prompting Luca to tell Cloche to stop giving her scary faces, and also making Soope give them the next Sphere Key.

Cloche's Route

This made Luca scream to Cloche in an attempt to make her change her mind, but Cloche only stared her down and told her that if she chose correctly, it would be no problem. After paying the entrance fee, the girls then began shuffling positions quickly, and then Cloche told the party to choose the one that was called "Annie".

Fortunately, the party guessed correctly, much to the relief of the hostages, so Luca demanded Cloche to keep her promise and release the girls, prompting Cloche to tell Luca she would do so, and also making Soope give them the next Sphere Key.

Layout

As this is a very small area, the entirety of the trial takes place on the back room, in which as mentioned above, three girls identical to Luca/Cloche will begin shuffling positions quickly and the player has to correctly identify which one is Annie. As a pointer, if the player is unable to keep his or her eyes on the correct one, in Luca's Route Annie falls down at the end, while in Cloche's Route she raises her fist. With this, it shouldn't be a problem clearing the trial. And by the way, while 500 Leaf have to paid in order to attempt the trial, if the player fails many times, the fee will get increased to 1000 Leaf, so it's a a good idea to try to win the trial at the first attempt.
