Well, you're truly good friends, right? I knew it!
By the way, this is the corner where we seriously answer questions about the physical laws and technical aspects of the Ar tonelico world.
Don't hesitate to send your questions, okay? Ah, and from now on, everything'll be fine even if you don't write "For the Technical Service Center" on your message!
...Ugh... She isn't hesitating to change things around...
And what's more, she's already taken over the best parts.
For the Technical Service Center... but looks like it isn't necessary anymore (*laughs*). Pleased to meet you.
The Sphilia Song is the way for conversing with the Heart of the Land? So when it is actually being sung, the parts that correspond to the Heart of the land are:
1) Being sung alongside Jakuri's parts? (through the voice of the Heart itself)
2) Jakuri is receiving the feelings of the Heart somehow and singing them as if she had developed a split personality? (Jakuri sings everything)
3) Something else?
So, which one is it? Please tell me, Jakuri.
I see. Since it might have been hard to understand from the scene alone, I'll explain it.
The correct answer would be 1. The Heart of the Land can only talk through Songs (Hymmnos). However, that isn't limited to normal Hearts of the Land, as it also applies to Reyvateils that have been transformed into one.
When you synchronize with a Heart of the Land that has started singing, you both end creating a song together that is as if it had existed from the beginning.
Since it is very similar to when someone "crafts a Song Magic or Hymmnos", the Song is controlled by the Time Axis, but inside your mind "the entire song (full chorus) has been already created in that sole instant (ω Expansion)".
The same goes for the Heart of the Land, which doesn't do anything beyond singing every part of the Song it creates in every instant.
As for the probability of the synchronization for the dialogue to happen, that will depend on how much both parts are willing to talk to each other. Generally, if they at least are willing to reply to each other, they will create a Song together.
Hello, it looks like you both have become quite great friends.
And I'm sorry, but this question is for Lady Frelia.
Hello, Teacher Frelia, and pleased to meet you.
I was a bit insecure about if it'd be okay to send this to this corner... but since it's a world setting question, I'll ask it here.
What kind of thing was the myth of Rhaplanca, which served as the basis for the lyrics of several Hymmnos in Metafalss?
There are parts like "varda rhaplanca" and "zodal rhaplanca", and while I understood from the setting materials collection that they depict how she raises Implanta, overall what kind of stories are they?
The Legends of Rhaplanca are stories that have been transmitted in the land of Metafalss since many millennia ago. I was taught them when I first came here, and while there are many stories to them, they each are standalone tales. They are set on telling the story of a Goddess called Rhaplanca, who was said to be "a Goddess that assumed human form".
The contents of the story vary from a legend to other, but almost all the Rhaplanca legends have a few common elements: these are propositions on the "the morality unique to Metafalss" and "What is Metafalica?"
The mentality of "Giving is better than receiving" breathes in Metafalss' culture, so it's considered better to give others than receiving something, and that's why such lessons are included in the two stories that were unveiled so far.
And there's also the proposition on "What is Metafalica?". That's why each of these Songs ultimately ended becoming like stories that go up to an "idea of Metafalica". As their endings and the idea of Metafalica are entirely different things, I think you should understand very well why the authors of these stories transmitted the idea of the unique paradise of Metafalica to everyone.
However, there are also stories that don't have these elements. Still, most of the Rhaplanca legends end with the creation of a happy world.
Even if the Chronicle Key was taken out, only her body would become younger, as her life span wouldn't change.
For example, you know that even if you take a 10 year old TV and swap out its case with a new one, it won't extend its functional time? The same goes for her.
This won't turn back the clock on the mechanism that breathes within Misha: the "Triangular Nuclear Loop", so once the Loop has worked for 150 years, it's the end.
For us Betas and Origins, the growth of our bodies is only appearance, and our life spans and the maturation of our minds are entirely different matters.
I'm 16 years old though, so I still think I've got a long way to go when it comes to age.
Contrary to expectations, you're the one that has the shortest way to go on that matter...
For the Technical Service Center.
I don't really get it, but it's impossible for the Origins, the Maiden of Homura and
the Pureblooded β-Types to suffer an IPD outbreak? I'm thinking that it'd be terrible for Croix if Jakuri ever ended having an outbreak. (translation)
Croix, who always must harm his loved ones.
Huhu... too bad, but that isn't possible.
In your case, it looks like it'd be better first to clear up the difference between the IPDs and the other Reyvateils. These are large spoilers, so any people who haven't cleared AT2 yet would do well to not read them.
IPD has been referred to as a virus and other ways, but they actually are no more than a type of Reyvateil, like the Third Generations and Betas.
What you're saying is as if was going to have a Third Generation outbreak, or as if Luca was going to have a Beta outbreak... as it has the same meaning.
Did you understand it now?
Lady Shurelia is an Origin, but
but how similar are the bodies of the Origins to those of the Pureblooded β-Types, which are structured by the power of the song of the Triangular Nuclear Loop, and will have their bodies disappear when the Loop exceeds its functional time limit of 150 years?
And I remember hearing that Lady Shurelia's body would disappear if she were to get away from the Tower in Sol Ciel that's under her administration, but she still wanted to stick with Mir as she left for Metafalss on the drama CD.
(Nyo? from Hachijo Island)
Disappear... I think that's just an urban legend, but... it isn't false that I'm better off staying near the Tower.
After all, my systems aren't inside me: they all exist inside the Tower... so we could say the Tower itself is me... that's the kind of existence I am.
Therefore, if I were to go far away... up to where I left the effective range of Ar tonelico, my body would disappear from the visible world.
And while I don't know much about the outside world, at the least I do know I would be fine if I went to Metafalss.
As for wanting to stick with Mir on the drama CD.... well, that wasn't because Mir didn't even tell me where she was going?
And it doesn't mean I wanted to go with her because I was worried about her or anything!
Jakuri... at this rate, Frelia is going to end up taking away the best spots.
...You might be right. That girl felt like she was a normal air-headed character, but she's surprisingly clever...
As an air-headed character, she's completely different from someone who's air-headed to the core like you. Is it because you run on different types of oil or what?
W-what are you uttering!? Aren't you worse due to being very air-headed but pretending to be cool!?
So we're in the middle of the Golden Week! It's during this time we should do the Toukou! *laughs* But I'm just joking, as it's time to rest easy and replenish energies.
Today I went at once to the Karuta trial meeting. I think I'd like to talk about the results and chances if we get a chance for it later.
And the second Toukou theme begins today May 2th, so please make sure to participate. And make sure to also leave your name ideas for the Ar Portal book.
Well, until next issue!
