Aurica here. You must all be happy to see me first thing every time~ Everyone really liked the last Toukousphere! But, actually, we had some trouble right before we uploaded it. They tried emailing the text of the Toukousphere to someone higher up in the company for review, but it didn't send right. Why do you think that is? It got blocked by someone's email virus scanner! I guess it decides it's a virus if it finds certain words in it ... You can probably imagine what it was, right? Oh ... let me just say it wasn't anything I said! So, without further ado, let's start the USO 9000 anti-virus mail-certified Toukousphere!
It looks like Lyner's quite the rage as a rare male wearer of an outfit with "zettai ryouiki".
Are you just doing your part to cover for the fact that none of the Reyvateil costumes had zettai ryouiki?
You're such a nice guy, Lyner.
I hope you'll continue working under the motto "Girlier than the ladies"♪
Hey, it's my first question! Awright!
A nice guy ... ? I dunno, I've always worn stuff like this, so it's no big deal.
It's just really comfortable, you know? It's not too stuffy if you get all sweaty in battle, and it's easy to move around in.
I bet you'd all agreed if you tried it out once, too.
The next time you come to Platina, try on some of my old clothes!
By the way, what's this "zettai ryouiki"?
I've been having a lot of fun with a certain plan of mine lately.
By the way, I've been thinking a lot about the names Aurica comes up with during Grathmelding, and I was wondering if there's any sort of concept behind them all.
I'd love to know!
Huh? Concept? You're thinking about it too hard.
It just needs to be real straightforward. When I first see the item, I think, "Ah, that's it!", and that's what the name is.
But even though the straightforward-ness sometimes comes up instantly, at other times it worries me so much that I need around two days to make up the name. Though even after waiting that time, I might end up changing the name again, huh? Hehehe/
By the way, the favorite name I've come up with is definitely "Sharkie"!
At first I thought I'd call it the Sharkie saw, but that's hard to say, right? You can't tell where the accent's supposed to go.
That was too much of a pain, so I left it at Sharkie. I think it's a good name ...
Doesn't it sound like something from an epic contemporary film? Don't you think you'd get shivers if you saw a movie called Sharkie at the theatre?
Well, I guess everyone has their own opinions, though.
Krusche-chan didn't seem too impressed ... well, she doesn't have much sense for this sort of thing, so I guess that's that.
Hello. I really like Aurica's knack for naming things.
So, I think it would be really fun if she had a corner where she made up nicknames for various people or things.
I'd find something new to submit every time ... How about it, Aurica-san?
Wow, I'm pretty popular today! But, you know, it's really hard to come up with good names!
Like I said before, it can take me three days to come up with a good one.
It's not like a story - you can't have lots of words, so it's really hard, you know?
In fact, if you look at the value per letter, it's really high. Even though サメーン is just four characters, it took three days to come up with, so if you split three days' of my salary across the four characters, a single character is 1500 leaf!
Just that "sa" is 1500 leaf! I bet I could make a lot of money coming up with names.
So, dony, how would you like to go as "Pocchome" from now on?
It fits you really well, but it's a good name, right? I came up with it in two seconds! But it's still 1500 leaf a letter.
Wait, are you serious? You are, aren't you? Okay, let me give you some advice.
First, go to some big, national sight-seeing destination ... Yes, I'd recommend Kyoto or Nagoya ... And buy two hand-made traditional taiko drums.
You won't need the pedestal, so get rid of it, and paint a pattern you like on the outside in white paint.
Then, make two really thin braids in your hair. Twirl them around into the drums. If you want to go for more originality, you can make as many braids as you want.
But, speaking from experience, 7 drums is the upper limit. It depends on how big your head is, I guess, but you can't handle more than that, okay?
Lately I thought I'd play through Ar Tonelico again, but I was surprised. When I figured I'd try forcing my way through without answering Grannie's question, she said something like "You'll have to go through me first!" ... and her eyes turned kind of gold ... I was a little scared ... so, I was hoping to get a serious answer, but why did Grannie's eyes turn gold?
An excellent question. That's called a Mode Shift, and it's something we do to prepare for battle.
There are five levels of Mode Shift, and the golden eyes are level 1.
At level 2, our eyes turn a blazing red, our clothes rip, and our dragon nature starts to manifest.
At level 3, we lose consciousness and enter a trance. It's a perfect state for battle.
At level 4, we metamorphose into a dragon form. At this stage it's pretty much all over.
At level 5, the world would be burned to a crisp.
Most Teru spend their lives training to control their emotion so this doesn't happen. By the way, sometimes Flute and Harmonica's eyes turn gold and they turn into dragons when they get mad.
So, it's always best to take care not to anger the Teru too much.
... none of that's true, by the way.
Also, stop calling me Grannie.
It's too bad for a hardcore Shurelia-sama fanatic like me that there's no standard size (200x40) Shurelia banner.
Please make a standard-size Shurelia-sama banner.
Oh, and why is Shurelia-sama so cute? That level of cuteness is a crime.
Ahh ... a c-criminal level of cuteness ... that's too embarrassing ...
But, even if it were true, you shouldn't say things like that in public!
Since I'm in such a high position, words like that could cause a scandal, which would be very bad for me.
If I did something for you, then people would think you were just trying to flatter me!
... but ... th-thank you ...
To show my thanks, I'll order the webmaster to make a banner for me.
If you come out with another game please make a Krusche route, you don't even have to wait for the next game (huh!?)
Well, it doesn't really matter, buuuut.
Why is Ar tonelico Ar tonelico?
The first time I saw Ar tonelico (the title), my mind entered a state of total incomprehension, and I still didn't understand anything after I looked at the back of the game case ... So, all confused, when I started the game, it immediately became clear that, "Oh, I see, it's the tower", but I felt really dumb afterwords.
Excellent, it's just as I'd planned.
Ar tonelico refers to the one-and only divine tree, but that doesn't really matter. The strange intonation where it's unclear where to accent and the odd sound of the words is all according to my plan.
That's because the instant your mind entered that state of incomprehension, you became my servant.
It's okay, don't be afraid. It won't hurt ... ho ho ho.
Well, I suppose I'll just start you off doing my laundry. Please work hard for me every day.
Question for Jack!!
Your arm's basically machine gun (gun), now, isn't it ... ? So how do you replace the bullets? Or are they just unlimited?
By the way, when you change out weapons, I guess that means you'd have to change out your arm ...
Man, this question was real popular for some reason. You all really that interested in my guns?
Alright, I'll answer for you. This gun's a cartridge type, so when I need to reload, I just have to pop out the cartridge from my arm. I buy bullets whenever I go to town, same as anyone. I don't need Lyner to buy 'em or anything.
Now, it looks like it's also real easy to change up the joints on my arms. I guess it's based on the standard Tenba TF mount, so I can switch out for anything that's the same type. Lyner makes guns that use the TF mount standard.
Well, anyway, Lyner or Krusche usually switches it out for me. I can do it own my own, but it's kinda scary to do 'cause it's so heavy.
Here's my first submission! I've got a question, but Aru-nii (Jack) has horns and a tail like all the other Teru, right?
If so, I'm really curious how he hides(?) it away ... Oh, and it looks like he's gotten pretty involved with Krusche, right? (I don't just mean financially, either.) Don't tell me ... you like her? (Oh man!)
Whaa .... !! You ... that kinda question's off-limits with me!!
Well, since I'm a Teru, of course I've got horns and a tail! Teru are usually said to hide their horns and tail. So nobody shows 'em, right? ... well, nobody but kids.
Everyone finds a different way to hide their tail. I usually wear lotsa clothes, so it's not that hard to hide it.
Okay! Time's up! Question time is over!!
This is my first submission!
As an Ar Tonelico fan, I've been spending a lot of time anxiously awaiting a sequel.
I've got a question ... Where is Claire-san's install point? I've been wondering for a while ...
Please, tell me, Aurica!
Haha, Aurica's asleep. So I'll answer instead.
What's that? You want me to tell you where my install point is?
Such a hopeless kid. Well, then, why don't we go back behind the inn? I can't tell you in front of other people.
But, you've got a lot of guts to ask a Reyvateil who's not a friend or a lover where her install point is.
You can't ask anyone else like that, okay? I'll make an exception for you, but you probably wouldn't get let off so easily with the other girls.
I know, when you're done looking I'll sing a song as a special treat, too.
What would you like to hear? EXEC_HYMME_CLOSSPHERE/.? Or maybe EXEC_HYMME_PLUTONIUS/.? Make sure to choose, okay? If you're a bad kid who doesn't know what they mean, maybe I'll sing both for you. Hmhmhm.
Hello, here's my first contribution to the Toukousphere.
Is it generally hard for there to be male reyvateils?
I could imagine a wonderful middle-aged male Reyvateil using a Super ○○bo-themed blue magic song, voiced and sung by a certain Mr. Wakamoto, though just thinking about it makes my brain start emitting a certain mysterious substance.
I guess it would really change the outlook of the game to have an install event or a LILIM or Y shirt-style cosmosphere event with a middle-aged male Reyvateil, so I guess it'd be kinda hard to do, but ...
Maybe it's the summer sun, but I can't help thinking I'd like to see something like that.
You fool! If that were possible, I'd've already become a magnificent Reyvateil (←rolled "r"s) a long time ago!
If I could use that sort of power ... I get shivers just thinking about it. Heh heh heh ...
Once every two weeks doesn't give us a lot of time. That's the way it seems.
We said we'd do it, so we'll do it. The number of submissions really picked up over the past two weeks. It's a lot harder to pick the ones we want to feature! Still, that's a problem I like having. I hope you'll all submit your hearts out from now on. And please keep making your own webpages and using Suppotail.
Let's all have a lot more fun with Ar Tonelico!
