Time for Luca's Dive Therapy-based Technical Service Center!
For some reason, we got a lot of questions about Dive Therapy this time around, so I ended up being responsible for the corner this time around.
Well, let's get started as cheerfully as we can. Go Go~!!
The design for her appearance is recorded in the D-Cellophane. It is from it that the energy poured into her Nurturing Tank gets regulated to actually give form to her body. Therefore, we could say that the D-Cellophane actually works like a blueprint for us Reyvateils. And while the abilities aren't actually set up to such a detailed degree, they are also set up in the D-Cellophane. The linkage with the SH Server is done when their prime field is completed, so it has no bearing on the formation of the body.
Still, that of course is just the preset information, as it can be modified later on. This is especially true for the body data in the case of the Third Tower Reyvateils, as since their body was stored as an additional work area inside the SH Server, they can freely change their bodies to a certain extent.
I'm submitting a question about something that caught my eye while I was flipping through the Ar tonelico Setting Materials Collection book.
In the explanation for the enemy "Nyo?", it says "It uses a Grathnode sack at the tip of its tail (omitted) to attack. It's a pervert", but are Nyo?s perverts? And if they are, on which way?
I'm really interested in hearing about it.
(Walid I, Battle of Helles, 711 AD)
Actually, the original setting for the "Nyo?" ended up being different from the setting they ended having in the game proper. The original idea for them was that they "would attack male characters and heal female characters. The healing would be done by extending their tails and groping the girls' bodies. How perverted". However, using that setting ended up being impossible due to several adult circumstances, so that's how they ended becoming the random-acting "Nyo?" you all know.
Wouldn't the contents of Cloche's Lv.1 CS be completely exposed because they had to go through Luca's CS to enter in Cloche's? And would Luca be able to nullify any Critical Downs from Cloche after the Dive started, allowing the Diver to Dive into higher level CSs as long as they continued having a proxy in-between?
Hmm, it's possible that a bit of it might have gotten exposed. But when a normal Proxy Dive is being conducted, the Therapist must explain these things to the patient (that their minds might be seen by the Therapist), and thus can't begin if both parts don't consent to it.
About if you'd be okay as long as you used a Proxy Dive, it's very hard to answer that, as even a Therapist of my level isn't able to completely see the first Soulspace level of the patient. For example, I couldn't see anything of Lady Cloche's Cosmosphere aside of the Stonehenge. Maybe overlooking the entire Soulspace of the patient is impossible for us because we're human after all.
There aren't any female customers in the Dive Therapy industry, right?
Of course there are. All Therapists are women to begin with. Since Dive Therapy seems so distant to a good part of people, there are some out there who think things like "it's so indecent", but to the people who actually get what the business is about, we're seen as healers who don't discriminate between men and women.
Milady! It's been so long, I wanna request a Dive Therapy session!
Please give me an extraordinarily deep experience!
...Maybe I should put Skycat on the blacklist already? But I don't think I can.
Last time she had a Therapy session with me, she said she was gonna stay inside my Soulspace and didn't seem like she had any intention of leaving. Thanks to that, the Dive Shopkeeper and Mrs. Lahr got pretty worried, as they thought I had failed and fallen into a coma.
Since Song Magic depends entirely on the feelings of the Reyvateil singing them to "exist", they can't exist except for the time in which the Reyvateil keeps singing. This was expressed in the Setting Materials Collection as them "distorting the natural order to allow them to exist".
Everything that exists on Planet Ar Ciel, from the animals including the humans to the inorganic parts of it including the land itself, are all born from Ar Ciel's feelings. In other words, they should be "born from distorting the natural order of the universe".
If that's the case, does that mean that the beings that live in Ar Ciel would be unable to continue existing without its protection? Wouldn't that make it impossible for humans to leave and head into space, flying off to other planets and star systems?
The base difference between Reyvateils and humans is like the difference between a real fact and a simulation of it. To put it simply, we Wills of the Planet and the humans... going all the way to the Will of Sol (the Sun) and even EXA_PICO, are all creatures that exist upon this same world. However, Reyvateils don't live in this world. If I had to say where they live, it is an artificial space that was created by the humans making H-Waves oscillate in an independent location... which you know as the Binary Field. Therefore, while we Wills of the Planet can allow the physical substances (chemical elements) that compose the bodies of the Reyvateils to exist, we cannot do the same for the feelings forming them.
Ah, but while this "allowing" refers to "allowing something to exist in the natural world", not being able to allow something isn't equal to removing it from existence, so please don't misunderstand. Still, while they can directly touch everything that exists in the natural world, the Soulspaces of the Reyvateils can't continue operating without the administration of the humans. Due to that, we could interpret it as them being similar to refrigerators and vacuum cleaners, who can't move unless they are operated by the humans. To us, a vacuum cleaner is physically a vacuum cleaner, and a Reyvateil is physically a Reyvateil regardless of if they can move or not.
So, we could simply say they "aren't connected to us". The only life forms created by the humans that are connected to us are the babies. However, it's true that if they made clones through genetic manipulation they would be connected to us too.
By the way, about if the people of Ar Ciel ever migrated to another planet, it would be perfectly possible. Even if Ar Ciel meets its end, its children the humans won't simply disappear. This is because the children of Ar Ciel are also the grandchildren of Sol and are part of EXA_PICO itself. So even if they move to another planet, the Wills of that planet will surely accept their existence, as they are like its cousins. And since the life forms from that other planet are actually like "cousins" to us too, we would accept their existence as well.
Now the Fifth Anniversary Festival has ended, I'm very surprised to see the large response we got from you all. Even the light novel has gotten an unprecedented number of preorders at the Gust Shop, so I got pretty shocked from that too. This "power" you all have is what becomes the driving force that compels us to continue creating. So I think I'd like to continue working in Ar tonelico to give form to this nicely shaped spiral. I'll continue working so we can keep "this perpetual motion feelings machine" working in the future, so please give us all your support!
