こんにちは、土屋です。 こちらは最近毎日雨だらけで気が滅入りますが、皆さんのお住まいの地域ではど うでしょうか？ゴールデンウィークにはカラッとするといいですね。さて、そん なゴールデンウィークが始まる前に、設定資料本を皆さまにお届けできるように なりました！色々詰め込みすぎて、かなりギリギリ進行になってしまい、これは ゴールデンウィーク明けになっちゃうかなぁ…と思っていた時期もありましたが、 やはり連休中に皆さんに楽しんでいただきたいと思い、ソフトバンククリエイティ ブ様と連日徹夜で仕上げました！関係者の皆さま、今回も私のワガママに最後ま でつき合っていただきましてありがとうございました。

Hello everyone, it's Tsuchiya. I've started feeling down since I've been drenched all over every single day due to the constant rains, but how are things over in the regions where you all live? I'd be great if the climate changed and became warmer and drier for the Golden Week. Well then, we've become able to bring the Setting Encyclopedia to you all right before the Golden Week begins! We crammed too many different things in and we finished it right at the last moment, so I doubt we'll be able to get it done before the Golden Week's dawn... There were so many times I had such thoughts, but since I wanted you all to enjoy it for these consecutive holidays, we ended up pulling several all-nighters alongside Softbank Creative to complete it! I want to give my greatest thanks to everyone who was involved with the book's creation for having gone along my selfish desires once again.

その設定本ですが、ページ数こそアルトネリコ２と同程度ですが、中身は更に凝 縮されています。アルトネリコ３の設定資料本の資料をまとめていたときのこと です。今回もかなりのテキスト量だなぁと思い、ふとアルトネリコ２の時にまと めた資料と比べたくなりました。すると、恐るべき事がわかりました。参考まで に、アルトネリコ２の、歴史パートのみのテキストは87395バイト（約43000文字） でしたが、今回の歴史パート資料は160157バイト（80000文字）だったのです。 実際に書いているとき、まとめているときには全然気づかなかったのですが（… とは言っても、終わらないなぁ…前回もこんなだっけ？とは思っていましたが）、 倍近くになっていたのですね…。それでも大事なこと以外は結構間引いているわ けですが。もちろん構造設定資料（理論）、世界地理等は、これとはまた別です。 当然アルトネリコ２設定資料集も、全部を掲載していただきあのような誌面に なっていたわけですから、今回もまたドエライことになってるわけです。華々し いページはゲーマガさん誌上等で紹介されておりますので、せっかく「この場」 ですから、敢えて一番濃いページを見開きお見せしたいと思います。 こんな感じです！

As for the Setting Encyclopedia itself, the page number is about the same one we had in Ar tonelico 2, but the contents were far more condesed into it, all because the materials used in the Ar tonelico 3 Setting Encyclopedia were all gathered and organized better. At one point I thought "Whoa, there's lots of text this time around too!", and out of nowhere, I compared it to the time we gathered the materials for Ar tonelico 2. When I did, I understood we had created something truly fearsome. For reference, the History Section alone for Ar tonelico 2 had a size of about 87395 bytes in pure text (approximately 43000 characters), but the History Section materials this time around got up to 160157 bytes (80000 characters). I had written all of that, but I never realized it until we started putting all materials together (...But even so, there were many times where I thought "Is this never going to end...? Was it such grueling work last time too?"), so the text volume essentially duplicated from a book to another... Therefore, we had to thin out the contents to remove everything that wasn't essential. Of course, the structural setting material (theories), the geography sections and others are all a different matter. We actually published all of them like they were articles in a magazine for the Ar tonelico 2 Setting Encyclopedia, and we did so this time too, so I think this book ended up becoming something awesome in the end. As that beautiful page structure was something I got introduced to thanks to the Gemaga Magazine, and since we're [right here] now, I'll show you a glimpse of two page spreads from the deepest setting pages we've made. 私のつたない文章と殴り書きを、本当に素晴らしく丁寧にまとめていただき、単 なる歴史綴りが読み物のように面白く読めるようになっていました。設定本関係 者の皆さまには感謝してもしきれません。 他にも、開発中にキャラ作り用に綴ったヒロイン達やココナやさーしゃ、先生な どのビフォアエピソードなども全部収録させていただきまして、更にフィンネル がやっていた星巡りも、皆さんにも体験できるように配慮していただきました。 前作以上に様々な想いがぎゅっと詰まったアルトネリコ３設定資料集を、是非と もよろしくお願いします！ それでは今回はこの辺でおいとまさせていただきます。 また次回！

I'm really glad that my shoddy sentences and scribbles ended up being gathered in such a thorough and beautiful manner, and that something as simple as a history lesson ended up being given an appearance that makes it a very interesting read. Maybe I should express my thanks in a better way to everyone involved with the setting encyclopedia's creation. Additionally, we also have included several pre-game episodes involving characters like the heroines, Cocona, Sasha, and the Doctor, which we had used to establish their character setting during the game's development, and we've also included a lecture on the Starcircling astrology method Finnel uses, which we considered you all would like to try out. We've squeezed in even more feelings and in greater variety than previous times, so please enjoy greatly the Ar tonelico 3 Setting Encyclopedia once you finally get it.
